Martin Gahn is a man of practice. After his apprenticeship in hotel management he passed several positions nationally and internationally. He gained a wide spectrum of knowledge in various hotel types including business hotels, Resorts, Conference- and City Hotels, leisure, boutique- and design-hotels. He experienced hotels in the 3 to 5 star segment.
After his change to Ringhotels, a group of independent, privately owned and managed 3-4 stars properties he started out as a reservation clerk in the central reservation office. Very quickly he became acquainted with the electronic booking channels which at that time became more and more important. As Electronic Distribution Manager he was then in charge of all relevant electronic booking channels including GDS (Global Distribution Systems) and OTAs (Online Travel Agents). At the same time he trained his member hotels on this important topics and how to use this new technology in a profitable way.
After more than 9 years with Ringhotels he changed once again to work more internationally for Preferred Hotel Group as a Senior Revenue Account Manager for independent 4-5 stars hotels located from the Northern Baltic region, all German speaking countries down to Greece.
